Northern Electric 1121 no voltage on 6V6
Northern Electric 1121 no voltage on 6V6
I have changed the electrolytic caps in this radio , and when I turn it on I can hear a bit of a hum in the speaker.
I have no voltage on the output tubes [6V6]
Maybe someone could point me in the right direction.
I have another one of these and it works good.

Re: Northern Electric 1121 no voltage on 6V6
Well I went through the schematic and I found that someone had taken out a resistor that was critical , and after replacing it, I have the radio playing .
So all I have to do now is change the other 15 caps

Congradulations. I bet it was one of the negative bias resistors.

Good for you Dan! I'm glad you found the problem! It's always good to check over old repairs before getting too deep into a restoration as those "bugs" will drive you crazy
