A new toy Edison Triumph

It is missing some parts, and, they are expensive.
I don't even have a winding crank for it.
It should be arriving Monday, or, Tuesday.
I'm so excited.

Re: A new toy Edison Triumph
A lot has happened...
I have acquired an original crank, better condition cabinet, lid, reproducers for it, and, had a friend drill out a glued screw on center collar. Forced pulley off.
I have replaced those two parts. fixed some bugs on pulley.
Whoever had it had glued all the to[ works. Motor is good.
The cabinet was beat up, and, missing parts.
I now have replaced the cabinet with one properly refinished, and, a lid needing minor repairs.
Been cleaning up top works.. Next, a new belt. Hope to have it playing by tomorrow...

Re: A new toy Edison Triumph
I have the Triumph playing, now. Did a considerable amount of repairs on it. I'm still not able to show pictures, and, it appears that Avast is causing all the trouble. I will be looking for a new anti vires program....

Re: A new toy Edison Triumph
I have the Triumph on proud restored display, now. I have a rare early front mount crane on the front,a re-painted 11 panel flowered horn, C two min. reproducer, two min. recorder, original shaving knife,Rare four min. model R reproducer, lid with three of it's original wood shipping blocks in lid, original shipping lid inside case to avoid motor damage. Unfortunately, it's still missing the rare original Model D repeating attachment bought for it by original owner bought fir it. I desperately want that. Moror is almost whisper quiet. This machine was worth saving, and, except for somewhat ratty bed plate, plays very well.
This machine is a keeper, and, is very stable, and, plays well. Springs are somewhat weak, but, I'm happy with it. For a beat-up machine that someone had poured glue on, and, parts, including almost entire repeating attachment were stolen from it, it's turned into a rare beauty. It's a model B, dating to 1905.
