Need Dial String For My Transistor Radio

I have a transistor radio that has a broken dial string and I would like to know who sells this string ?

I know for a fact that the string used on the small transistor radios are smaller in diameter then the string that's used on the tube radios which are typically 028".

If anyone has a junk transistor radio and does not need the string please contact me.

Is there any real reason to be such a purist? Can't you use similar string from other sources? What properties of the string are most important?

As you probably know regular cotton or polyester string stretches.

If you know of a strong string that's small in diameter which does not stretch please tell me.

Radios use a special cord that doesn't stretch. These can usually be found at places like ebay. Most radio parts dealers sell these on the internet and, such.

I checked many radio parts suppliers on the internet and also on Ebay and they DO NOT SELL the smaller dial string.

All of them only sell the .028 diameter string thats for the older tube radios.

i have used braided cloth fishing line it works very well

hi frank sorry i dont have any braided fishing line left but you should be able to get it at your local sports store maybe they might give you a small length if you ask Greg

 HI  I  have  the   factory dial  string from Japan new &  it  is  very  strong and   is  about .3MM Larry
