Morris Coil Winder info
Morris Coil Winder info
This is the scans I made of the owners manual for a Morris Coil Winder and a scan of the dial disc. Someone may be able to use the info.

Re: Morris Coil Winder info
At one time, John Folsom could have used one of those winders.

I would love to have one of those today. Are they still available?

You can find them used. They used to run about $100 used.

Its not all there...
That ebay winder has some missing bits. A shaft the supports the wire guide and serves as a cam follower. A return spring and clip the allows the cam to follow.
Although Morris never made any model distinction there is a model with a cast iron frame. Parts that clamp 11 pins t to make spider web coils, two versions, one with a split cast hub and another with a pair of embossed flat washers.
There were some changes to various clamps, gears and collars, to make them less costly.
I bought one of these new as a boy, from Allied, even then the frame was cast aluminum... FWIR I wrote to them (Morris, MoReCo) and got additional gears of different tooth counts and additional cams. I made a cam to swing 1" to make lumped inductances... I may have the letter around, seems there was some association with a clothing manufacturer. Then they went out of the winder biz.
