Sencore Oscilloscope
Sencore Oscilloscope
Hello,, Just bought a sencore ps127 oscilloscope for $10 at a junk store. Seems to work but it has no probe. Anyone know were I could get one or how to make one? The manual said it came with a direct & a low cap all in one you just flipped it some how to change . If direct means "direct" that would be easy to make.. The low cap has a 24meg resistor and a 9mmf cap, hard to find this stuff.. Thanks Larry G

Re: Sencore Oscilloscope
Thanks man, the connectors are wrong for my scope. Its a 1967 scope with the old loose nut and a short stub center conductor, the nut screws on a male fitting & presses the center conductor to contact. I may order them & try to come up with some kind of adapter. I'm sure they would work fine if I can come up with something. Thank you very much for the help .. Larry G

Re: Sencore Oscilloscope
Might be easier to change to the input connector on the scope to one of these:

Re: Sencore Oscilloscope
You want the ones like this, they fit the existing hole with no drilling.

Re: Sencore Oscilloscope
The original probe connector is a type of two-conductor coaxial microphone connector seen on a variety of service grade test equipment of that period where maximum frequencies of no more than a few MHz were involved. The Switchcraft 2501F and the Amphenol 75-MC1F were probably the most widely sold connectors of this type. Other brands include the Dialight No. 100, Birnbach No. 232-FC, and H. H. Smith No. 116. Switchcraft still makes the 2501F:

and they are still sold by Mouser and other parts houses.
