Not a very bright idea

This person is either not very bright or does not realize that it is extremely illegal to tamper with VIN tags and vehicle titles.. and the fact even if he successfully switched VIN tags, it would not match tags on original body parts that are hidden. My guess is this guy probably has a older Chevy Nova and for some reason he either can not get a title for it or may not know the proper ways to attempt to get the title or even may not have the funding to do the proper things to get a title. Since he can't or won't (or try to) get a title legally, he thinks he will just get a VIN tag with a clear title off of a junk vehicle of the same make and year as his.. again that is just my best guess.. Now he may of gotten away with doing something like this in the 70's or 80's but there is now way it would fly today..

There are legal ways to get a replacement title.
