Homebrew RF millivolt meter
Homebrew RF millivolt meter
It works well up to about 3MHz and is fairly accurate. It does all I need it to do and seems to pick up the RF voltage in tube radios without excessive loading. Handy for quick checks, but mostly done for the fun/challenge.

Re: Homebrew RF millivolt meter
Thanks. It was certainly an education in broadband RF amplifier design in trying to get it to 1. Gain enough 2. Not oscillate 3. Have pretty much a flat gain across a wide range of frequencies. 4. Have good input impedance.
Lots of tweaking and reading...Fun though...learned lots.

One of the great experiences of learning is making HB stuff. I don't think I ever built something that didn't need "tweaking" or modifications, but it is a great feeling getting it to finally work.
