8" Portable RCA Victor BW portable tv in red case.

Well, here we go again. I finally found one of my missing red RCA tv's. I put it up on the bench tonight, and, took it apart.
It is one I had tried to repair years ago, and, all it did was arc..
I have found alot...

First, pieces of wire, dirt, ets., fell out.
And, a broken piece of glass...

I removed the back chassis, and, removed the picture tube shield..
Here is what I found.
The yoke cover is with set, but, badly warped. It was also very moldy, and, parts were loose.
Ion trap was all the way against yoke.
I dismantled the entire thing.
I spent alot of time cleanning mold off the yoke cover, and, cleanning adjustment rings, etc..
I re mounted rings back on yoke cover.. I then re installed it back on yoke.
I re installed cardboard tubethey had on neck of tube, and, put ion trap back on closeer to base.
It now looks like it may work..
I have two paper caps to replace I missed, and, some more electrolytics.
I have to check the power supply, then, soon, bring it up on variac, and, see what it does..

I have more hope for it than I did.
It actually looks like this time it may play.

Sometimes the condition of a set is not as bad after you dig into it as it first appeared. This sounds like fun.
